The ÌÇÐÄVlog Counseling Center provides comprehensive mental health support to enrolled students through free, confidential counseling services and wellness programs. Our services are designed to empower students to manage personal challenges, promote emotional resilience, and support academic success.
Whether you’re seeking individual counseling, group therapy, relationship counseling, or drop-in workshops, the Counseling Center is a safe and supportive space for personal growth. We also offer crisis intervention, outreach programming, and training opportunities to promote mental well-being across campus.

Counseling services are available at no additional cost to all enrolled Georgia Southern students aged 18 and older. Our team is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for students of all backgrounds and identities.

Online scheduling is not available. During your first session, a licensed counselor will assess your needs and recommend services that best support your well-being.

About Counseling Services
- Individual and Relationship Counseling: Sessions are typically 50 minutes and focus on helping students address personal challenges with support from licensed professionals.
- Group Counseling: Unlimited group counseling opportunities are available to enrolled students.
- Time-Limited Model: Students may receive up to 16 individual or relationship counseling sessions per academic year.
Cost of Services
All Counseling Center services are free for currently enrolled Georgia Southern students. We do not bill insurance or use third-party payers. No charges will appear on your bursar account.
Confidentiality
Your privacy matters. Counseling records are confidential and not part of your academic record. Information is never shared without your written consent, except in rare cases involving:
- Risk of harm to self or others
- Reports of child or elder abuse
- Legal mandates

Limitations of Our Services
The Counseling Center is best equipped to serve students with short-term counseling needs. We may refer students to external providers for:
- Long-term or intensive treatment
- Substance use programs
- Specialized care for chronic mental health conditions
Additionally, we do not provide counseling to students under 18. However, we offer case management support to help minors connect with community resources.
